Ya, those subs are different. What kind of budget do you have for sub? What amp are you running? Feel free to email me.

not sure, ive got a crap amp atm, a soundstorm lol, but im upgrading everything ive got. plan on spending around 300 per sub, so i have enough for an amp box and im going to have to upgrade the big three most likely if im pushing alot of power

Forget about the MTX 9500!
*Note*---this is coming from an MTX DEALER!!! (me)

We are dropping MTX...the mtx 9500 is a waste, and they just dont stand up to any of the hype. (That and MTX fvkt our shop over)

But if you are looking into MTX subs, try the 8500...it is by far a better sub for the $. They sound better and are much more efficient.

Yes the mtx9500 will handle alot of power, I ran one daily on an memphis mojo (2kw), but it is VERY inefficient. Its a huge sub w/ HUGE moving mass and a BS heat-sink in the gap. Total was of materials IMO.

Take a look at these companys.

AudioQue
Ascendant Audio
Ficaraudio
Revolution Design
Treo Engineering( great subs but bad service)
Digital Design
Resonant Engineering
Eclipse
Soundsplinter
T3 Audio
Stereo Integrity
Incriminator Audio

Thats all I can think of right now but I'm sure others will add to the list.

Matt, if you are looking around $300 a sub, you can grab a pair of Rd Audio Alpha V1 D4 12's for $500, and either a 1750.1, or 3250.1 to match. Depends on how much effort you want to put into your electrical system.

So, this would be a good buy? and then i wouldnt have to upgrade my alternator or anything because it wouldnt be pulling a whole lot of power.
