I have a 4dr colorado and took out the back seat and have 2 of the 9510-44's and was wondering what amp would be good? I am planning for 2 spl boxes with a single seat in the middle, a lil bigger than spec to compensate for the polyfill to help with the low lows. I know car audio but Im far from an expert so I would like to know how I can make this the best that it can be.

deck: alpine cda=7998
mtx 8000 components in front
mtx coaxials in back doors for now
alpine amp on highs

thanks in advance

thanks, so if I have 2 750w rms, I need a 1500watt rms amp? Im prolly incorrect but I was thinking that you could use a 750 rms at 1 ohm and then wire the two 9510's to 1 ohm and they would both get 750... amp I even close? I was looking into an amp rated at 1000watts rms @ 1 ohm, what ever brand is capable. looking at diamond audio and memphis, read on here they are very stable at 1 ohm...

thanks

Yes 1500w

If you did the 750w each sub would see 375w. You need around 750w to each sub.

This is the way you would wire them.

The Diamond Audio D6 1500.1 would work sas well. But the Memphis MCD1500 is stable at 2ohm. That SAZ-1500D is a rock solid amp that would be my choice.

What is your budget for a amp?

I just wanted to see what would push them fully, then look for the 1 ohm stable amp. has to be 1 ohm stable since Im wiring 1 ohm, thanks for the link... have the wiring covered though... was hoping to get an amp for @ 300, less would be good, tuition was just due, lol.

I like the sundown but 600 is twice my budget

^^^^^^
caps are not a good investment, they are more for show than anything else. You must have a proper charging electrical system 1st. Once the cap is drained (which takes like 1 second) your charging system now has more strain as it has to charge your battery, run your stereo AND re-charge the cap.

A 2nd battery would be much more efficient than a cap and they would be around the same price.

I am selling a amp if need be...$550 for 3krms

MTX's TE1501D puts out 1500 WRms @ 1Ohm, there's your 750 to each sub, same as the MTX TA81001,
Clarion's DPX11500(1500WRms @ 1 or 2ohm).
Hell, even Rockford makes their version of the same amp, 1500x1 @ 1ohm(T1500-1bd).

Keep in mind that nearing or surpassing the 1000watt mark usually requires more juice. If you're not interested in a cap, I'd recommend a higher output alternator or a special(or second) battery, say optima yellow top, or a Dry cell battery with an isolator. Or an Xstatic Batcap.
I just ordered an Alumapro CAP, 5 Farad, personally, and will be upgrading to an Optima Yellow-top battery.
