I have noticed sound level increases using higher voltage signals, but dont base your purchase solely on preamp voltage. Another way to boost voltage is to purchase a line driver, or an eq that has a built in line driver. I'm planning on buying a Clarion EQ that will boost my unit from 4 to 7 volts, http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductList.aspx?CategoryID=13&Manufactu rerID=609 |
