i know these subs look similar
does anyone know the connection
also what series of dd's would you say the sd 2.5 and the hd3 are comparable to

probally close to a 2500 series.....i think theyre basically dd's just made with cheaper parts.....but still bad azz

id say the sd2.5 is comparable to the 2500 and the hd3 would be comparable to the 9500

it's a nice sub for the money...gets really loud on 500rms

sorry that's what i meant the sd2.5 is like the 2500 series and like blanford said the hd3 is like the 9500 series

i have 2 12" SD2.5's and they get very loud. Im upgrading to a 9515 though :-)

ide say if you have the money get DD but Audioque is still a very good company and they are coming out with the HDC3 series which should be badas$

The quality of the parts on the AQSD2.5 is the same as those on the DD2500 series. We both use the best available American parts money can buy.

The NEW HDC3 will use the very best off shore (Chinese) parts money can buy. Most of the subs on the market today are either made off shore or assembled from mostly preassembled off shore parts. Quality parts are available from China; you just have to pay more for the good parts. With the HDC3 we tell you up front where the parts are from.

I dont recommend going over 600 rms for the 2.5 12 audioque we own one and I wouldnt feel comfortable putting more on it

hd3 is in between the 3500 and 9500. def not as loud as 9500 w/ 2k+ ya kno...

the 2.5 does get loud 143 in my burp box on 600rms but thats about it tho
