Bronze Member Username: DadydolasPost Number: 77 Registered: Mar-06 | so what if it does it while music is up loud is it getting to much power or filters not adjusted properly and getting to high frequencies i just got this set up and i really don't want to ruin it. thanks guys |

Bronze Member Username: DadydolasPost Number: 78 Registered: Mar-06 | alright ill adjust the gain so i won't mess it up im surprised b/c im running a hifonics 1205 brutus to 2 kicker cvr 12's @ 1 ohm and i know hifonics are over rated and the kickers are in a sealed box, not ported. hmmm |
Silver Member Username: Big_edge_headMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 403 Registered: Mar-07 | so that amps is prolly giving em like 500rms each if u have the gain high, and the subs are 400rms each. did u set the gain right? so i would say that yes u could bottem em out. |
Silver Member Username: Big_edge_headMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 404 Registered: Mar-07 | set the gain useing this. http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/setgain.asp |

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Post Number: 6578 Registered: Feb-06 | is not your amp.......... hifonics have a soft delay function.. what is wrong is your GROUND....., RCAS, REMOTE WIRE, AND/OR power wire.... check yoru grounjd first thats the first thing u have to check.. make sure its the same size as the power wire... make the amp ground wire to be as short as possible and directly to the groud.... when grounding use a sand paper to clean some paint off... check your RCAS u might have them bad.. check your remote wire.... alot of low end head units have some kind of relay function for the remote wire.... they are always IN NEGATIVE POLARITY... when u turn it on the relay works and switch it to POSITIVE CURRENT... checck your wiring... make sure is big enuff to carry all the power ur using... if u already check all that AND/OR it is the remote wire causing the problem YOU NEED THIS THING>> http://www.soundgate.com/index.php?request=product.details&categoryid=25&product id=367&usereferrer=1& |
Bronze Member Username: DadydolasPost Number: 81 Registered: Mar-06 | king rob it never does it when it turns on or off and i checked all the things you listed it only happens when it turn it up really loud and turn the bass up so hopefully lowering the gain has fixed the problem. if not i will try that thanks for taking the time to give me all that info. it's much appreciated. |
Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Post Number: 6589 Registered: Feb-06 | you first have to check yoru speaker terminals they migth be shorting.. and with all the bass inside the box theres a chance they might be shorting... check there then go to the amp check all the connections then from there go to yoru headunit and check everything up.... it might be that ur clipping hte amp yeah try put the gains down and check yoru headunit it migth be that the headunit is clipping and sending clipped signal to the amp.. |
