Sundown SAE1000s vs. Rockford t5001bd

I would like to buy ctmike's Sundown, but don't know if I want to spend that much. Both put out approx 1000 watts with the Sundown being a little more powerful. Is the Sundown worth an extra $80 over the Rockford? Help me out! Thanks |

WHY?? DUH the sundown 1000d can do 1100 rms the rockford is rated at 500 rms and around 800 rms rated power... try and get the t1001bd ad it will pwn the shyt out of the sundown 1000d and will be kicking azz against the 1500d. |

Gold Member Username: Extrmndor3Post Number: 6586 Registered: Feb-06 | not really... the sundows have great quality too... but if u see all the amps naked.. ull see the sundow looks like is on steroids... and the rockford looks cool... but in real life... rockford USES VERY HEAVY DUTY PARTS.. LIKE SPECIAL MADE RUFF MOSFETS that the sundows cant simply cant get... another thing rockford patended the class db technology... thats a mix from class D and CLASS a/b.... the great efficiency of the class D btu witout the distortion that they tent to give.. so witht hat class bd makes them soudn like class a/b with the class d efficiency.. also they use specially made mosfets and power supplys just for their amps other companies use universal parts.. like i said both companies are really good... but if your talking about really good quality rockford is the way to go.. if you want power sundown is the way to go on the 2 choices u made.. here ull see the sundown 1500d http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Sundown_Audio_SAZ-1500D/ now check the 1001bd doesnt look too impressive but it will push around 1600 rms of good clean watts http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Rockford_Fosgate_Power_T10001bd/ here ull see two amps with same ratings this is the mcintosh they use ol skool design with really the best parts u can get this amp runs about 1500 new http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/McIntosh_MC420/ now check this zapco that was about 200-500 bucks http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Zapco_Studio_204/ wich one will u chose for the best quality??? mcintosh ofcorse |
