db drag......1st with 141.3. i was the only one in my class so it was easy. also i could of hit higher but that was my qualifying run score. there was no point in running again so i just went with my qualifying run score.
bassrace......1st with 139.8. there were 7 cars in my class.
tuan from team toxic bass took 1st in 140-149.9 bassrace class. his crx is one mean bassracing machine.
sorry i didn't take any pics cause i was too busy winning. lol.
if i build a box with a bigger port area and i can see my spl score going up. but since i can hang in the 139.9 bassrace class, i think i am fine. i just want to bassrace now. no matter what kinda box i build there is no way i will bassrace in the 149 so i think i am fine.
my bro and I were gonna do bass race yesterday but they wanted 60 bucks plus 10 to park on the grounds and 9 dollars per person riding in the guy that came with us said lets go and we agreed so we left......rediculous prices
oh we watched the eventonline and if we woul have competed in idbl spl stuff we woulda took first in our class the highest was only 141. something.....oh well
that is expensive just for bass race. i paid $70 to enter both db drag and bassrace today. its usually cheaper but since its a 3x event its more expensive.
i needed to win today to be able to go to the finals up north. win today gives me 40 points so i am eligible to compete in the regional finals. as far as world finals, i believe you need 80 points.
hell yeah charlie. the dd was a big hit. people were amazed at how the single dd kept up with 2 sub setups. when i opened the trunk and showed that i only have a single dd, they were surprised. lol.
x 2 congrats chad, i know i seen you struggling with install this sell that. glad to see something worked out for you. keep at it man i'm sure you will eventually hit the next class. u seem to walk my line, the longest you go is 6 months before goin bigger and badder.
keith i actually went smaller. i went from hitting 151db on spl and bassracing at 149.9 to the score i posted above. i was getting tired of all the extra weight from the batteries and subs in my ride.
yea it hit me after i posted , the irony i went from 4 infinity subs to 1 alpine so in a sense were still on the same page lol. but yea i feel ya the extra weight was takin my gas mileage nearly in half. but still man thats a pretty short db loss in my eyes for what you gained in the loss.
Nice job man. Now get that SPL beast out and put your real sub back in I was analyzing the pic trying to figure out how you could fit those two trophies in your car lol.
Did you keep the box in the trunk or did you move it inside the cab?I can't remember what you said you were doing. As far as the 3x event costing so much...they know people will pay because it's exactly that,it's kind of crappy and steers away competitors IMO.Oh well,I guess it's better than nothing. After all it does cost money to host those events but they're probably making a bit of profit off of it.It all depends on the turn-out in the long run I guess.
lol rob. those amps do look beautiful. i asked him how much and he told me around $2500 each. he told me there is a dealer in florida that carries them.
$2500 each?!Ouch!I heard someone say they could get them for damn near 1400 so I guess that was BS...well it's not worth getting those amps at that price when I can get multiple amps that put out more power for less money. They might be worth it for the footprint though...I dunno I'll have to take a look at Hifonics's Sampson that's supposed to do 8KRMS @ 1ohm so it should be a pretty good contender as well but I haven't seen them on the market yet so...I dunno.I'll probably stick with MMATS more than likely.
mmats ftw. i got a few people who are looking for a system in their car thinking of gettig the mmats and dd 9512 combo. they were just amazed at how i was hanging with the big boys in bassrace. lol.
Hey Chad, where did you get your DD from, btw, i've got a used 3000.05 that is modified that will put out quite a bit more than the 3500. Also, any 3000 is stronger than the newer 3500. The only strength the 3500 has is it is more reliable, they stepped down the rail voltage along with a few other tweaks that keep it from blowing up as easily. If possible, find somebody to swap their 3000 for your 3500. Btw, if you send me a 3000 I can modify it for you. There is a process I can perform that involves adding a few resisters to an ic chip that regulates rail voltage when the power supply becomes saturated, this will void your warranty tho lol. anywho,
