is there a way to turn down the pre amp voltage coming from the headunit. my amps will only accept 4 votls but many headunits i am looking at have 5 volt+ preamps
no and what do you mean only accepts? it's min voltage is prob that. i have a rough idea on this but don't quote me. i think as long as you set your gain on the amp correctly. the extra juice would acctually help you, high pre amp voltage is always better.
i jus reread yes the amp prob only accepts that, sorry for the wrong info i got things missunderstood. there might not be much you can do maybe a eq can help you but best of my knowledge u can't turn it down.
