Silver Member Username: Riebread77Post Number: 718 Registered: Jun-05 | I need 2 subwoofers, 8" or 10", rms of 400-600 watts dual 2 ohm. budget is around $75-150 per sub ...From looking at specs alone, I'm not able to tell which subs are good at free-air performance. Does anyone have any recommendations. |

The Infinity Perfect is specially designed for different mounting configurations due to it's "variable-q" technology. Basically they are removable pole pieces that change the q from low to medium to high. What you want in an infinite baffle config is low q, or very high damping, so that the woofer won't flap uncontrollably and bottom out. I would get a Perfect not only for the variable-q but because it is an awesome SQ sub for the price. But don't put too much power to it because a woofer in that config needs far less power to develop full excursion and its power handling is greatly decreased. http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_product_details.jsp?cid=19838 |
