I just changed out the head unit in a 95 corvette, with a Kenwood KDC-MP435U. It had the Bose Gold sound system Head unit. The new radio works fine, but while playing cd's or using the usb plug, the radio pops when going to the next song. It kind of sounds like the radio is turning of and back on again. I can hear the pop in all the spkrs in the car. Its loud and I can guess that, thats not a good thing. The radio does not flicker and the lights do not dim on the radio. I am using the amps that was originally installed from the factory. I picked up a wiring harness from the local dealership. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can fix this problem. If I need to add more info, just let me know

the stock ground location is not enough for the aftermarket head unit. try finding a better ground and grounding it there. (the black wire)

I will try to find a good spot in the dash some where. Do you have any ideas?

depending on the car, if u have screws under the driver side dash, under the steering wheel spot, i have used that before.

u gotta try grounding to the chasis not the dash, ur corvettes fiberglass. u can't just ground to the dash like a steel car try the steering colum like said before. but i think you will need to go to the chasis

How about the opening where the stick shift comes in at? I have to take out all of the center concel to get to the stereo any way. Run the ground throught that opening to the chasis?

just make sure it dosen't get binded up but i's pre solder the wire to help against the corosion factor and use 12 - 8 guage for a really really nice ground. esp if your doing all that work oh and zip ties are your friend.
