Bronze Member Username: Fish5IN Post Number: 22 Registered: May-07 | i've got a 2002 pontiac grand pric w/ a stock alternator (100a) and can't afford to get a ho alternator so i'm going to do the big 3 and need to get a new battery anyways (currently only at 60a), and was just wondering what a good battery would be. i'm new to this so don't have any idea, but i was looking briefly and came across 2, are these good enough? can i go lower? any input would be much appreciated! http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Batterie http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?cat=Batterie |

When it's off, the battery supplies power. Unless your competing (playing with engine off), save the money for the HO alt. |
Bronze Member Username: Fish5IN Post Number: 24 Registered: May-07 | i'm not going to be competing. right now my battery is too small, so i'm only getting 60a. out of my alt.; so was going to buy a new battery anyways. does it matter how nice of a battery it is as long as i can get full production from my alt? i can't afford to get a ho alt. w/ the setup i want, so would really like to not have to change what i want just so i can get a ho alt. also, what would be some good brands for batteries? |
