Money or not a single yes SINGLE type R can handle a 1500 on its own. It isn't the power that kills them it is the operator, lol. You trying to protect your type R's like there Treo or something beat the sh!t out of them and buy something else.. :-O

PS- Here is an old pic for you notice the amp on it.... Polo..

"And old pic before Polo learned that caps and chipboard boxes aren't all that great"

Actually that wasn't my setup and honestly a cap in the right setup is one of the best things you can have. I am not going to go through this whole shabang of what a cap does and if you have the voltage it is impossible for a cap to hurt. the only time a cap does no good is when used as a band aid for dropping voltage. BTW- that is Mr. Potts photo. Noobs ^^^^... :-O

polo. lol im pretty sure if i had a 1500 hooked up to a single type r i would blow it lol i blast my music and if i turn that sh1t up as loud as i usually do it would blow. plus the max power of a type r is 1500w. the zx 1500 prolly puts out more than 1500 and yea i def. dont have enough money to just blow subs for fun and buy new ones. still in high school son lol

if they're dual 4ohm, you'll want an amp 1ohm stable and not 2ohm stable. what's your budget?

and the only difference between the dual 2 and dual 4ohm models is the wiring options you'll have.

yep, dual 4. you could get a cadence txa1000d for $199 shipped from them. i bought one for a temp amp and been running it at 2ohm with no problems at all. only downfall is the length of it, it's a little over 2ft. long i think. i might sell my sundown sae 1000ds' for a little more than $250 each if interested. not 100% sure yet but i might sell them. bnib, signed, and under warranty.

i'm no expert on cadence, but from what i'm told it's their budget line, but i've read others running that line with no problems at all. just throwing it out there. if wanting it order direct from cadence. and still not 100% sure if i'm selling the sundowns but if i do you can get one. i haven't posted them for sale yet so it's not like thier's a line of buyers or anything.
