I am looking to get rid of my 880 for a different HU. The HU was amazing, and I really liked it, just I don't feel like doing any extra work to eliminate the engine noise that most pioneers require. So if anyone wants to pick one up at a good price let me know. All the 880's have this minor problem, and grounding the RCA's is all it takes to fix it, so if anyone is willing to do a little extra work on the install, I will offer my HU at a very good price. I am thinking $200 plus shipping is VERY fair.

Here is a link. Not very hard to do. I just don't want to have to do any of that work. But $100 off the price should be well worth it.

IMO It would be more work for you to change out headunits than it would be for you to just wrap a wire around the RCAs like that and ground it.

but aren't the RCAs seperate on the 880prs? (not attached to the HU, but you have to connect them in first)

how would you go about doing that?

Yeah, later in the thread they show you how.

I am not worried about the time it would take to do it, it's more I am just not great with stuff like that, and I need something that can NEVER fail. I meet up with people all the time to show off equipment, and if something like that came loose on the ride up, I would be screwed. I just need something that will work perfect everytime, because I can't afford not having music for a day sometimes.

This is my personal HU. Kevin may have some HU's that he sells, but I deal mostly with RD Audio, Sundown, and SI. But if you are looking for a good pickup the 880 for $200 plus shipping is a steal. Premeir HU's like the 880 like to have grounded RCA's though just FYI. Takes about 10 minutes to do as you can see in the tutorial I posted, but it is extra work you should do if you go with one.
