i got 12's cause their cheaper, and require alot less power to run, which results in less money spent. plus, i will enjoy blowin away all the trashy 15's that are around these parts anways...

A SSD 15" is $20 more than a 12. They both have the same rms. I guess u saved $40 lol :D I know those have to sound good. I installed one of them on a hifonics 1206D, it was great.

"lol its fine... theres plenty of padding behind it"

I learned this flying helicopters, adding a dampening material no matter what it is does not make it stop vibrate but moves the rate at which it vibrates either up/down. The best thing is not to vibrate at all, the energy has to go somewhere but it doesn't have to be in your amp, get it? Polo.. :-O

the point of the padding is to disipate vibrations

I used about 1/2 or 5/8" thick rubber washers so the amp sat off the box. It provided for better ventilation as well as little to zero vibrations.
