I have the worst SETUP EVER... HELP.... SOMEONE

New member Username: CalioldschoolCalifornia Post Number: 6 Registered: Mar-06 | Long story short... I traded my 2 12" duals for 2 JL 10's then my buddys pit bull ate 1 of them so I traded the JL 10 for 2 brand new 12" Audio Bahn subs which are: The " all natural " sound... also I have this amp: A2150 HCT The sound sucks balls, I just bought a chevy silverado and installed the subs and this brand new pioneer head unit which is the only thing good in the truck. Should I buy new subs + amp then use the old 4channell amp to power the highs? Also, I have this REALLY annoying sound when I drive that blares out the speakers now that it got 115 degrees out.. it's almost like the engine sounds are coming out the speakers... i've heard it before but not this loud, any ideas??? |

Also, make sure RCAs aren't right next to the power. Id get new subs and amp for sure. You may need an amp for your highs, you may not dependin on what you got as to whetehr or not to use the 4 channel. |

What kind of budget do you have, and what type of sound are you looking for? SPL>Sound Pressure Loudness=gets really loud but not very good in quality of sound SQ>Sound Quality=Has very good quality of sound, but doesn't get extremely loud SQL>Sound Quality Loudnes>A combination of both. If you will post what type of sound setup you want and what your budget is, we can probably give you some good ideas. |

I want somthin that hits inside and a lil outside... I was in my buddys car the other day and he has some crappy $50 head unit and a alpine digital 1400 watt rms amp with 1 12" L3 Kicker and it hits so hard inside... not a whole lot outside but you can feel the bass hitting your back. I want to spend roughly $300 - $500 and get a 1000 watt rms amp if possible and 2 12" subs that I would pay maybe $150 a piece. I have had Sony's that hit harder then these audio bahns..  Thanks for the info guys.. appreciate the replys. |

Post Number: 243 Registered: Jun-07 | ok, so 2-12's @ 150 each=300 and a 1000 watt amp for 3-500...so total budget is $600-$800..should be doable....Im at the library right now, so I'll let others take a crack at it, but when I get home, I'll try and give you some ideas... at least you're smart enough to know about rms, too many idiots think a 1000 watt MAX amp will really put out 100 watts...lol |

I guess i'm going to have to look around and wait for somthing to pop up. I just want punch.. that's all I ask, right now my woofers sound like they are muffled with not much punch. |
