Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 949 Registered: Mar-06 | Well, I finally got it all installed. Here is what I have now. 2006 Ford Focus Stock electrical 4 gauge wire Eclipse 3100 2 RD Classic 12's 1 RD 1000.1 3 cube box tuned to 35 hz These subs are well worth the money. I am VERY impressed with them. I didn't expect the output that I am getting. The sound is clean, and I had a little windsheild wiper movement I will try to get some pics and a video if at all possible. I ave been playing them with Nickleback and a lil John to get them broke in a little. I am very happy with them, and for a daily beater, hard to beat. I will also put them on the meter sometime this week to see what I got hehe. Kevin |

I really didn't expect what they put out in a trunk car that's for sure. I will prolly do bass race 129.9 this sunday to see if I can win something and feel special :D Ya my big @ss is in the pics, I hate pics haha. Kevin |

Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 957 Registered: Mar-06 | LOL, man it was a pain to find somewhere to run the power wire. We were about to drill hole in the trunk haha. Where you run the power wire on Focus? I brought it close to the hinge of the hood on driver side, then took the plug out of body, slid wire through a hole the size of the wire hehe. Other than that, it was easy. Soon will be the Alpha comps and 85.2 hehe. Earlier, I played a bas song called "king of bass", it sounds pretty good, loud, and the car doesn't rattle on the inside. I'm pleased. Kevin |
Gold Member Username: LoudonPost Number: 1292 Registered: Jun-04 | well i have a hatchback ... i just blew out the hole and ran it up the panel under the backseat |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 958 Registered: Mar-06 | I wanted a SVT Focus, or just a plain hatch, but they had none on lot. Couldn't wait either. So I got the 4 door, but oh well what can I do haha. Kevin |
Gold Member Username: Trey4sportsPost Number: 1385 Registered: Sep-06 | kevin get at me on AIM Trey4sports and tell me how the alpha comps and 85.2 sound. im honestly debating them and ive heard the pros and cons from every angle but id like to hear a real life review on em |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 963 Registered: Mar-06 | I don't have AIM anymore. It is slow on my cpu for some reason. I am on yahoo though. I don't have them left, but should have them by end of week Kevin |
Silver Member Username: JtownPost Number: 139 Registered: Mar-07 | Kevin, how about that RD 800.1??? has it been shipped yet? |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 2155 Registered: Sep-06 | Kevin How is that Eclipse 3100? What voltage do RD amps do rated power. I think I heard or read somewhere its 14.4volt. |
Silver Member Username: BasssquaredKansas Post Number: 812 Registered: Nov-06 | Kevin got owned |
Gold Member Username: LoudonPost Number: 1296 Registered: Jun-04 | how did kevin get owned? explain that to me |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 972 Registered: Mar-06 | Hey Justin, ALL back orders are shipping this week and I will let you know later in the day if yours has shipped or not Joey, the 3100 isn't a bad unit. Only thing I don't like is no pause button and when turning the volume down with remote it takes forever. Other than that, sounds great and I really can't complain. Stock spakers aren't horrible hehe. Owned??? Only mama ownes me Kevin |
Gold Member Username: Trey4sportsPost Number: 1392 Registered: Sep-06 | rd amps are rated at 12 volts i believe. and their class D amps are right at 88% efficient |
Silver Member Username: StamantLA, FL USA Post Number: 260 Registered: Sep-04 | Kevin, now that you have heard the classics, how do they compare to the BMs? |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 976 Registered: Mar-06 | Paul, they are pretty close in output, and the BM has little better SQ in ported, but not huge difference. In sealed, the Classic is one of the best sounding sub I have ever heard. Kevin |
Silver Member Username: StamantLA, FL USA Post Number: 261 Registered: Sep-04 | Thanks Kevin. Ya, the output of the BM is awsome. |
Silver Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 978 Registered: Mar-06 | Ya, both subs are awesome. Sealed the Classics just have GREAT SQ and good output Kevin |
