so i go to hook em up today and its not loud at all, and i got them hooked up which i think is to one ohm, they are dvc 4ohm subs(atleast thats what i ordered) so i had them hooked up like this
http://s206.photobucket.com/albums/bb16/44killer44/?action=view&current=subwirin g.jpg and they were not too loud, and they only were somewhat loud when i turned the gain and the bass knob all the way up, plus i tried to set my gain like in the jl tutorial and nothing happend, like the voltmeter was not goign up as i was turning the gain, so anyways i jsut put it at half, so then i hooked the one sub up like this
http://s206.photobucket.com/albums/bb16/44killer44/?action=view&current=subwirin g2.jpg
and the thing was mad loud, but when i hooked em both up like that it went back to barely mooving...whats giong on here did i get sent the dvc 2ohm subs? is there something wrong with my amp?....any help would be greatly appreciated...

do you have a DMM? if not get one, 20 bucks. take the probes and and put + to + and - to - on each voice coil and set your DMM to ohms and it will tell you the resistance

Yes, between 3.4 and 3.6 is good. After impedence rise it will be right around 4 ohms.

And that amp should be pushing them very well.

Got pictures of the wiring?

Yes it does mean they are dual 4 then. Try hooking both wires into the one amp terminal that you had the one sub hooked into and see if that helps anything.

You don't need to worry about gains yet. You need to wire the subs correctly first. Hold up one second.

Yeah, with the amp running at a final load of 1 ohm now instead of 4 ohms, things should get a little louder in there.
