Gold Member Username: OglejustPost Number: 2089 Registered: Aug-06 | btw i like a girl w/ a tight trunk |
Silver Member Username: CcdoggyPost Number: 135 Registered: Jul-06 | given it wont be as loud, but you can always compensate with more power. i always have my seats up in my luxury sedan and have no problem hearing and feeling my sub with only ~700 watts. |

Silver Member Username: CharlesbhsDallas, Tx USA Post Number: 117 Registered: Jan-07 | and i dont wanna take the rear speakers out or have any custom work done. |
Silver Member Username: Mike11202DE US Post Number: 734 Registered: Nov-06 | ^^ its not custom work you disconnect the speaker and put it aside, most stock systems use plastic plugs that go into the speaker terminal try fading your music to the front, if its fine take the rear speakers out if not leave them in.. its not going to be that big of a difference |
Gold Member Username: OglejustPost Number: 2092 Registered: Aug-06 | imo my highs sound better w/o rear speakers |
Silver Member Username: BoomtankRochester, NY USA Post Number: 297 Registered: Oct-06 | yeah with enough bass you dont need rear fill. |
Silver Member Username: TatonkaPost Number: 477 Registered: Mar-07 | People in the back seat need music too |
Gold Member Username: OglejustPost Number: 2093 Registered: Aug-06 | ^^ they can still hear it |
Silver Member Username: CharlesbhsDallas, Tx USA Post Number: 118 Registered: Jan-07 | i guess if i upgraded my speakers in the front it would work possibly. but i dont know any good 4" components.... but whats a good subwoofer that wont take up much room. but i want it to be ported.... |

Silver Member Username: Big_edge_headMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 201 Registered: Mar-07 | u can fit 5.25 comps in a 4x6 opening with very very slight modification. ive done it. |
Silver Member Username: CharlesbhsDallas, Tx USA Post Number: 119 Registered: Jan-07 | but there not 4 X 6 there just 4"... all the way around |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 5384 Registered: Jun-04 | charles I had the same issue with my 1990 nissan sentra but still hit at least 127 db at 43 hz with two 6.5 subs on 280 rms dont worry bout losses.... placement helps too |
Silver Member Username: Big_edge_headMilwaukee, Wisconsin USA Post Number: 203 Registered: Mar-07 | u can trim around the hole and make it bigger. all it takes is a sharp razor knife and just hack away at it till the speakers fit. or make an adapter out of MDF. it might seem like a lot of work but its really not |
Silver Member Username: CharlesbhsDallas, Tx USA Post Number: 120 Registered: Jan-07 | are the RE 8's any good for my subs? and thanks edge but it's a lease so i cant cut it apart lol but thanks for your input. |
Silver Member Username: Mike11202Sewell, NJ US Post Number: 739 Registered: Nov-06 | They make CDT Audio HD42's.. that would work great, the highs are amazing you definately will not need rear speakers I believe alteraudiousa sells cdt on this forum so hell give u a great price For subs RE 8's are good, you should also look at Soundsplinter Rl-i 8's or TC Sounds 1000 8's www.soundsplinter.com www.tcsounds.com |
