12.1 cubes at 34 hz. alphas should be here in a good 2 weeks. whole box was constructed of 3/4" 7 layer birch. double baffle on top. i also used quarter round on all the seems inside of the box so i have no 90 degree angles. Upload

everything looks good. but i think the port area is too little for that box. you might want to add another 2-4 aero ports.

those are 4 inch aeros right?

birch=free had two sheets lying around at my dads, a couple edges had been rounded already but since i completely sealed off the enclosure from the inside and wood filler + glue on the outside it shouldnt be a problem. just a cosmetic hinderance.
the ports are 3 x 5 and i used the PSP port calulator, after displacements, it came out to 34 hz so hopefully thats right

i 2nd the add more ports.

if i read his last post they are only 3" aero's.

for that much space i would do min 2-6" aero's or 4 - 4" you can tune a lil higher with the aero's than you would with a slot port since they are more effiecent.

but other than the lacking port area it looks good.

hey trey, first of all, that box is huge haha damn, that birch must way a ton

last thing, ill take it you're keepin the rover, right?

i love it more everytime i see it, the dark tubing land rover puts all over the leather on the interior looks nasty

thanks cal. but no the land rover does have to go. i am seriously having a hard time feeding my terrible car audio addiction while paying 70 bucks to fill up on a 6 75 an hr wage, its tuff. but yeah after working wtih this birch MDF seems like fisherprice toys. i will look into adding more ports. what i did with the double baffle was use tightbond on the top layer mount the baffles flush, clamp the baffles really tight for about a half hr and also shot about 8 very tiny nails with a brad nailor.

well the guys above aid it right - needs more port area , @ least 10sq"\cuft is a good rule

but looks nice

liked how u braced it - reminds me of a recnt box i did which was about 2cuft under volumed & i used 2 pieces of 2x4 to brace it = solid like a rock & vibration free too .....

Hey are you covering that box? Since it's Birch maybe think about sanding, staining and poly?

Just a thought. Carry on.
