There's a reason the type R is higher on the CAC List https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/products/articles/329117.html |
Silver Member Username: JeromebakerPost Number: 135 Registered: Dec-05 | The kicker comp vr's are rated higher than the type r's. I didn't see anything else by kicker under subs. |
Silver Member Username: JeromebakerPost Number: 136 Registered: Dec-05 | Nevermind, I'm just high. I had a pair of kicker round 10's back in the day, and although my rockfords smoked them, they were pretty good subs. The square series just suck, like bad sq, what? I always thought kicker made great subs if not the best for the price. |

Silver Member Username: WarlokOrlando, FL USA Post Number: 291 Registered: Dec-05 | Truly , it depends for what you want. L'7s are maily SPL speakers, though I've heard them in nice boxes, and they dont sound 1/2 bad, but the R's seem like they would sound better. But you might get more sound out the L'7s. Good luck |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 4682 Registered: Dec-05 | i'd go with type Rs cuz they're more practical, they can sound good with different songs, i don't think L7s can catch the beats with quality |

Silver Member Username: WarlokOrlando, FL USA Post Number: 302 Registered: Dec-05 | WEll, IMO experiences, L7's will hit much harder than type R's, but you will better SQ and more range with the R's. Spesc will tell you. L7's are made for hard core bass. |
Silver Member Username: TatonkaPost Number: 452 Registered: Mar-07 | "L7's are made for hard core bass." I think if you put anything "hardcore" on a L7, they would bust quicker than pamela anderson's cherry at the age of 9. |

Bronze Member Username: Th3beyondPost Number: 15 Registered: Jun-07 | im kinda on a budget i guess, i use to have ahh 2 channel power acoustic 800 watt amp with 2 jbl 12s and it did the trick, so im thinking this amp would fit my needs fine. but any suggestions on a better amp would be appreciated. |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 5334 Registered: Jun-04 | thats actually not a bad price but tose profile amps do get a little warm....plus keep in mind a amp of that power will require a alternator upgrade ideally.....what kind of car do you have and hat type of sound are you looking for because if your looking for major bang one 12 audioque 2.5 wil fi the bill on 600 rms....were hittin 142.2 with one right now on that power 500 rms is what its rated for though |

Item=Xenon+400.1&Sys=FR if you want a amp with a subsonic filter ....in case you tune high with 24 db per octave filter and a real 400 rms watts plus buy this amp and it will run the audioque fine and a 1 to 4 0hm load gives same power....or you can run the same amp we are .......the mtx 4501 http://cgi.ebay.com/MTX-TA4501-500-Watt-1-Channel-Amp-TA-4501-Amplifier-NR_W0QQi temZ110139508491QQihZ001QQcategoryZ64570QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem $195.00 the xenon was close to the same price but the mtx puts out more power...600 rms....but be carefull the audioque handles 500 rms but takes the 600 rms for us.....the mtx power rating is stated 500 but its 600 |
