can the wrong fuse size in an amplifier cause an effect on the speakers as far as causing them to smoke? i took my amp into a shop and the store rep hooked my amp up to their subs and they started smoking and pushed the speakers out without any sound. the store rep said it was due to the wrong fuse sizes...i grabbed my amp and left but i think i blew their subs.
the fuses on the amp are there to protect the amp, they can only stop a current if it gets to big for the amp, but if that was happening then your fuses should've blown and if the current is too big then the amp should be fried rather than the sub, i'm thinking more along the lines of the gain was set incorrectly, but to be honest thats only a guess
