Hello, I have a Kenwood H/U in my F-150 with (4) Infinity Kappa 5 x 7 speakers and it always sounded great. Recently I installed a Kenwood amp and ran all the wires. It sounds great, but when I turn it up a bit, I get a popping sound from one of the speakers under some bass in some songs. Just so you know, I haven't completed the install yet, there are some sloppy wires that need to be shortened and routed better. Is this a wire problem or a speaker problem??
Are you powering the 4 Infinity speakers with the Kenwood amp? Did you set the gain/level properly? If the speaker pops on some bass songs, it could be that, the speaker is getting overloaded. If everything is set correctly, then turn down the bass a bit.
Yes, it is a 4-channel amp and everything is run seperately. I really don't know how to set all the different adjustments. Any help on that?? Thanks, Chris
