Why does my Mono amp have two posative and two negative terminals for the subs wiring to go to??

because it's 2 channels but the signal is the same out of both channels. what amp is it? im pretty sure you only need to use one set of terminals if you want. they should be wired in parallel internally i think.

its a MTX-6500 D.. they are 2 ohm DVC subs and i will be wiring in series/paralell

as my diagram.

I need it at 2 ohms because the amp as far as i know is only stable at 2 and 4

No it's 1 channel.

Right about that.




That diagram is correct. You wire each subs coils is series. Then to wire the two subs in parallel, you can connect one to each set of terminals.

okay thank you.. Wondering if i had to follow the diagram and then have them in the same slots - maybe bridged.
