Bronze Member Username: Nate2587Toledo, OH Post Number: 21 Registered: May-07 | I don't have a review on them as they are brand new never used.. But hearing from what i am told they are a very good set of component speakers. The Mids are nice and beefy with a 3" coil on them and the tweets are smooth and loud. I know ben @ low-hz has them in his car as if right now and he absolutely loves them. |
Bronze Member Username: Nate2587Toledo, OH Post Number: 22 Registered: May-07 | Corey I have a set of Kicker SS series mids for sale also 175 shipped on those. used for about a year if that fits your price range a little better? |

Silver Member Username: SheriffPost Number: 436 Registered: Jan-07 | Those Kickers are nice Nathan, how is the condition of them? Also, what amp did you have running to them? |
Bronze Member Username: Nate2587Toledo, OH Post Number: 25 Registered: May-07 | i have them running off a zx650.4 right now only using 2 channels tho the other 2 channels arn't being used. the gains on the X-over where set @ -3 db and all equalizers where set accordingly. they are used but not abused.. |
Silver Member Username: SheriffPost Number: 437 Registered: Jan-07 | So would a zx350.2 work well for them? |
Bronze Member Username: Nate2587Toledo, OH Post Number: 26 Registered: May-07 | what did the birthsheet say on that amp? assuming its around 400rms @ 2ohm the speaker will run @ 3ohm on each channel so i think you should be fine with that amp it would push them good |
Silver Member Username: SheriffPost Number: 439 Registered: Jan-07 | Well I don't have the amp, I was just wondering what amp I should get if I buy the speakers. Also, when wiring an amp to speakers, do you do it the same way as you do with subs, or is there something else that you have to do? I'm asking this b/c if it's the same way as subs I don't understand how the comps would play music, as a sub does not. Please help me out on this. |
Bronze Member Username: Nate2587Toledo, OH Post Number: 27 Registered: May-07 | yeah you don't wire it up a different way you hook it up the same way as you would hook up subs.. the only thing is you have a X-over on your Amp and you have a X-over on your Head unit most likely. now the reason that subs don't play music is there is a X-over that filters out all frequency's past a certain point say 80hz.. subs won't play any frequency over 80hz because of the X-over.. so in turn you use a LPF (Low-pass Filter) for subs and you use a HPF (High-pass filter) for components and mids.. and essentially what it will do is send all "bass" to the subs. and all "voices" to the mids/tweets... make sense? |
Silver Member Username: SheriffPost Number: 440 Registered: Jan-07 | Ya, I understand it a little better now. I'm most likely going to buy these from you, do you accept PayPal? |
