IF a sub is recommended for a sealed 1.5cuft enclosure could I still get a ported box thats bigger and tune it just right and never get any problems? or should I just stick to sealed

sure can! Best bet is contact the manufacturer or look on there website. Like I have said in the past. They spend sh*t loads of money on there product. So they would know best!!
