So I just installed 4 new speakers and a new deck. I dont think the speakers are the problem as I installed the deck before the speakers and there was this same problem

Basically, Whenever I turn up the volume on a song once I reach a certain volume (different depending on the song) I hear a crackling noise through all my speakers. My cd deck that I got is a JVC KD-G430. The speakers are MTX brand. My car is a 93 ford tempo.

could this mabee have to do with the wiring?

no,,,the speakers are getting too much bass more than likely....if your deck has a crossover, then cut out the bass freq from the speakers...also since u upgraded your speakers, they are not being powered properly...maybe try an external amp to power them...

Thanks.. I figured it out. The problem was that my cd deck was not the first installation of a deck in the car. My brother had previously installed a radio deck. When he did this, for some reason that I have no clue why, he has all of the negative wires for the speakers connected. This worked fine for the radio deck but I guess since the cd decks amp supplies more power and couldnt handle it. To fix it I just cut off his jungle of wires and did a re-wire job. The reason I figured this out is because whenever I would fade left/right or front/back, it would also crackle

the reason he did that is because a lot of radio decks only have two channels and he wanted all of his speakers to play....
