Tuesday, May 22, 2007 - 17:24 GMT a acquaintance of mine had two solobaric 10's on two mtx 81000d amps putting out 1500 rms to each sub and one caught on fire while playing music...now the intresting thing is they were burp boxes and he was playing music on them why I dont know....anyway am I right it caught fire from clipping

Tuesday, May 22, 2007 - 18:06 GMT The VCs probably got fried by heavy clipping/distortion. That's the problem with SPL, the bass you hear is not always music.
