Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 149 Registered: Apr-07 | ok I am getting my subs soon and need to know what I am gettin, its either a 12" RE SE, or a 12" RD classic, this is going to be a sq setup with 1000rms goin through it, and is going to be in a sealed box, so let the votes come in, thank you |

Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 150 Registered: Apr-07 | i know re is a spl sub, but the SE is made for sq |

Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 152 Registered: Apr-07 | I heard sound splinters stuff is poor quality, and I have considered the MAG but I want the new one and I dont want to wait, but if it comes out soon then it will be a contender |

Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 4402 Registered: Feb-06 | x2 on everything^^. and i'd either go with the q or idmax, if in your budget. |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 153 Registered: Apr-07 | budget for 2 subs 450 |
Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 4403 Registered: Feb-06 | you could get a single 12" idmax for that ($459 bnib from dealer actually). you wont be dissappointed. also for $10 more you can get a pair of 12" rl-ps' shipped at www.soundsolutionsaudio.com. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 2591 Registered: Jul-06 | There's really no need for more than 1 sub in an SQ system....... |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 158 Registered: Apr-07 | ^^ why not?? not even like 2 10"S |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 2595 Registered: Jul-06 | You could put one 12" or 15" in the same space as the two 10s and it would be better on the very low end...... |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 160 Registered: Apr-07 | wouldnt low end be for like rap and hip hop, rather high end being for rock |
Gold Member Username: MgbcsMaple Grove, Minnesota Post Number: 1370 Registered: Dec-06 | No that's not neccesarily true. You will get some real low notes in rock and rap. My suggestion would be to get one sub. It will allow you to get an amazing sub, not to mention save plenty of money on power. There is no need for two subs if you are going for a SQ system. Just my 2 cents. |

Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 161 Registered: Apr-07 | ok out of the W6, SE, classic, Q, what would be the winner, all properly installed and all sealed |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 163 Registered: Apr-07 | bump |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 2598 Registered: Jul-06 | W6 would be the "winner" for SQ, but it can't take 1000 watts. If you want to run that power I would choose the Q. |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 164 Registered: Apr-07 | like I said if I chose to do 2 10"s I would run it off of a 1000rms amp, can they take 500rms a piece, all I am looking for is a decent bump and great sq, I am looking to top 125-130 DB's, I dont want it to be super loud |

Gold Member Username: CenusHicksville, Ohio Post Number: 3169 Registered: Jan-05 | w6 hands down, very very nice sq driver. idk if JL makes HO boxes for the w6 but if they do get them, HO boxes are very nice, and im sure you'll be pleased with the spl results. |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 167 Registered: Apr-07 | yeah I think my final choices are the RE SE, or the JL w6, on a 1000rms amp, |
Silver Member Username: Jester_kingPost Number: 172 Registered: Apr-07 | bump dammit |
