Sunday, May 20, 2007 - 00:03 GMT I need a sub or combo of subs that will handle 2000wRMS @ 1ohm. I am leaning towards either 2 10's or 1 15". budget for the subs is $500. Im leaning towards two FiQ 10's ported. I prefer two tens over 1 15". Other details. Small trunk Big 3 upgraded 300amp alt. I do not need amp suggestions i have an amp. Subwoofer suggestions are appreciated.

Sunday, May 20, 2007 - 00:12 GMT Why do you prefer 2 10s over 1 15? The 15 has many advantages over 2 10s. Treo SSX, RD Alpha

Sunday, May 20, 2007 - 01:09 GMT Lower frequency response, more cone area, cheaper, smaller amp usually but doesn't apply to this particular situation.

Monday, May 21, 2007 - 15:24 GMT dboiz, the q's will have less cone area so i guess it comes down to install. the 10" q's should be more musical i'd guess. u can make them real loud but def not louder than a btl im sure. 2 12" q's would be more reasonable comparison as far as spl.
