Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2710 Registered: Sep-04 | Did you set all your amp settings right. subsonic filter on @ #hz your box is tuned to. Low pass 80 or so. Set your gain right. Umm. I'll let somebody else chime in. |

Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 748 Registered: Oct-06 | but since its 2 channel how would i use the dmm?? would i have to do each channel seperatly?? |
Gold Member Username: Trey4sportsPost Number: 1158 Registered: Sep-06 | bump for an awnser for phil |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2711 Registered: Sep-04 | Please list voice coil config on the subs and type of amp. Its hard to help with barely any information nah means. |
Silver Member Username: Jesse59672OK Post Number: 319 Registered: Feb-07 | like berny said. and about the dmm, each channel gives same voltage so when you set one you set both. same thing goes for 4 channel amp. |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 751 Registered: Oct-06 | ok 2 dual 2ohm subs and a shitty power acoustik TS1920 2 chanel amp:RMS Power (4 ohms): 370 watts x 2 channels RMS Power (2 ohms): 440 watts x 2 channels |
Silver Member Username: QuigPgH, PA US Post Number: 498 Registered: Sep-05 | no u need to patch that up for sure... it will rip bigger, umm i used rubber cement b4, but it made the rubbe really hard, im sure theres something better out there, but def patch it up |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 752 Registered: Oct-06 | what about this guys "and one more thing...when i was srewin in my subs the drill sliped and put a slight light tear in the sub...is there somthing i can use to patch it up or would it be fine?" |
Silver Member Username: Jesse59672OK Post Number: 321 Registered: Feb-07 | 29.7 is what you are aiming for on your dmm. if it was me i would run just one sub if it is capable of the 800 rms or so silicone glue would be fine i do beleive for that. |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 753 Registered: Oct-06 | well i already made my box for 2 so i cant really do that now |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 754 Registered: Oct-06 | where did you get 29.7 from jesse? i got like 38 something?? did you use the 370 @4ohms? |
Silver Member Username: Jesse59672OK Post Number: 322 Registered: Feb-07 | his sub is dual 2ohm.. so you have to figure it for the the 440 @ 2ohm |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 757 Registered: Oct-06 | but i have to wire each sub to its own channel so therefor would i use the 370 @4 ohms...this is how someone told me to do it...cuz a dual 2ohm sub need to be wired to 4ohms. |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 758 Registered: Oct-06 | bump |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2714 Registered: Sep-04 | You are correct phillp. Wire it to its own channel @ 4ohms is the best you can do. If you were to wire them together bridged. This is your amp, but a older version, might be a better model to, but its nearly identical just older I believe. http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Power_Acoustik_LT1920-2/ 38.5volts is what you want. Measure it on one channel, not bridged, if you know what I mean. |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 759 Registered: Oct-06 | so i only have to measure one channel and the other one will be the exact same? |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 760 Registered: Oct-06 | and what test tone do i use again? |
Silver Member Username: Jesse59672OK Post Number: 324 Registered: Feb-07 | a 50hz test tone. and yes the other will be the same. |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 761 Registered: Oct-06 | and is it the sine wave on r.o.e or just a regular test tone? |
Gold Member Username: OglejustPost Number: 1650 Registered: Aug-06 | sine |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 762 Registered: Oct-06 | k thanks |
Silver Member Username: Holt_champHtown, MI Post Number: 763 Registered: Oct-06 | ok this is my amp can you show me where to put all of the crossovers and gains and stuff...i dont know what they mean on the amp?(scroll down and look for the side view http://www.sonicelectronix.com/pictures.php?id=6195 i need to know what EVERYTHING needs to be set at...my subs are dual 2 ohm and i have a ported enclosure tuned to 33hz. |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2720 Registered: Sep-04 | Level = gain, use DMM bass boost @ 0dB, if you reallyed wanted to use it, adjust it between 0dB - 6dB max. HLF = don't use x-over = LPF LPF = 80hz I don't see a subsonic filter. |
