That is an older version of the driver. Second, they are different drivers aimed at different goals. The BTL is a SPL sub, while the Alpha is a SQL sub. For daily system alphas would be much better suited. If you want to enter a SPL contest the BTL would be better. RD makes SPL subs but the alpha isn't one of them. If you want SPL check into a heavyweight from RD. Comparing that to the BTL would make a lot more sense. But for your system you are probably going to want to take the SQL path. |

When we did a comparison on a old 12 inch Alpha D4, and a BTL 12, there was only a 1-2 db in difference over the Alpha (I wil find out exact later on and post to make sure that is correct). Evan and Mike did that test I think. The new Alphas are monsters and will give the output for sure, but back it with great SQ as well. We will have more reviews soon to come. |
