Posted on a amp that does 1200rms at 1 ohm draws less current than an amp that does 1200rms at 4ohms, is that a correct statement or not? thanks |

Posted on 1ohm is less efficient in most cases...so the 1200 at 1ohm will porlly draw a lil more current. |

Posted on Jordan is right, SPL is wrong. Most, not all but with MOST amplifiers, as impedance (ohms) is increased: Power output decreases Efficiency increases (meaning it draws less current) Damping factor increases and THD decreases (that's the "cleaner" signal) |
