my friend has a buick regal that has a blown out 6x9's in the rear and he wants new ones, but the stock amplifier has the high and low frequencies seperated. so should he just get tweeters and 6x9's or do they make 6x9's that would be compatable with the stock amp?
just get a 6x9 that has the tweeter, just in case he ever wants to upgrade some more.
What you need to do is find out the stock speaker's Ohm rating and thus match it with the new pair, as if its too low then the amp may blow and too high and they will be very quiet.
