i used to have a mtx 7500 with a 1200 watt rockford fosegate amp. the lights would dim a lot and RPMs would go down a little when the bass hits. i was constantly clipping the amp and the sub fried two weeks after i got it i did not know too much then. if i did not fri it i prolly wouldnt be as in to car audio as i am now. anyways, after i set up my 2 12'' audioque SD2.5s and had the amp set up the right way the lights dont dim anymore and the RPMs dont lower anymore. could this be because the amp is not clipping like be for?

Most likly it is because the 2 HD2.5's are louder (on the same power) than the 1 7500, and you set the gain correctly this time around.

You prolly had the gain up too high (in an attempt to make it louder) when you had the 1 7500.
