Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Audioque 12 SD2.5s, Earthquake P... Post Number: 1071 Registered: Dec-06 | if its dual 2 get a amp that puts out full power at 1ohm (like the nine.1) if its dual 1 get a amp that puts out full power at 2ohm (like some kicker models) |
Bronze Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 98 Registered: Feb-07 | i haven't purchased it yet, what should i get, 1 dual or 2? and what's bp power mean, its an extra 40 4 it? |
Bronze Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 99 Registered: Feb-07 | im planing on buying the amp first n use my old subs in the mean time till i save 2 get the 15. |
Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Audioque 12 SD2.5s, Earthquake P... Post Number: 1072 Registered: Dec-06 | well most amps put out full power at 1ohm so ide reccomend getting the dual 2ohm sub. BP power adds about 200rms power handleing to the sub. If you get the Nine.1 it actually puts out more like 1400-1500rms so you would deffinitly want to get the BP power option for the Q |

Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Audioque 12 SD2.5s, Earthquake P... Post Number: 1074 Registered: Dec-06 | i think it should. but then again it depends wut amp you get. when you buy the amp send an email and ask them if ur wiring will work and if not buy some 0/1 gauge. The amp above is a very nice deal. |
Silver Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 101 Registered: Feb-07 | wow, ur right. thxs. if i do get that amp, in the mean time, will i be able 2 play my 2 Fi12x's with it. they have 300w rms each- or would i fry them? |
Silver Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 102 Registered: Feb-07 | even if i set the gains really low? |
Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Audioque 12 SD2.5s, Earthquake P... Post Number: 1076 Registered: Dec-06 | u can play anything. Just use comment sence. Turn gain down low and be careful on the volume knob. Also you can tell when a sub is at full extension, and it distorts when it gets to much power. So yes you can use the nine.1 on the fi's just use commen sence with giving it power |

Silver Member Username: Smoke05Tucson, Arizona U.S. Post Number: 512 Registered: Jan-07 | i have the zx1000.1 pushing my amp at 2 ohms, but if you have the 1 ohm, go for the eD.NiNe or a sx1200.1 and you want to use 0/1 gauge |
Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Audioque 12 SD2.5s, Earthquake P... Post Number: 1080 Registered: Dec-06 | elemental designes website is actualy: http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/index.php sry bout the other one. its up to u bout the amps. The nine.1 would give more power by probly 200rms. But the orion is cheaper. They are both about the same quality. If i were u i would call elemental designs and check and c if they have any b-stock and if so how much they are and then compair the prices of the 2 amps. |

Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 1567 Registered: Sep-06 | How many pos and neg on each sub? |
Silver Member Username: QuirkySA, Texas Post Number: 106 Registered: Feb-07 | its dual i guess, cuz i have it in a series set up now that im looking at it. 2+ and 2- per sub.. |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 1570 Registered: Sep-06 | Ok heres what I would do if there dual 4ohm. Get the Orion I posted above wire the Fi X 12s like this I know you will be under powering them. http://www.cardomain.com/shop/wooferwizard.pl?num_of_subs=2&impedance_of_subs=4o hm_dvc&x=116&y=13 And when you get the FI Q 15" get a dual 2ohm and wire it this way. http://www.cardomain.com/shop/wooferwizard.pl?num_of_subs=1&impedance_of_subs=2o hm_dvc&x=131&y=8 Thats a good deal on that Orion so I would think it wouldn't last long. |

Silver Member Username: J_c_wheeler8Columbus, IN United States Post Number: 386 Registered: May-06 | "i have the zx1000.1 pushing my amp at 2 ohms, but if you have the 1 ohm, go for the eD.NiNe or a sx1200.1 and you want to use 0/1 gauge" Why, theres no such thing as a sx1200.1, there is a sx1250.2 and a kx1200.1. Both are good amps and 1 ohm stable. I would recommend the sx1250.1 because it has the digital feature, but it will be a little more pricey, its all up to you. Talk to Chauncey, he has 4 sx1250.1's, he could prolly tell you a little bit about em. |
Gold Member Username: Snarl2004Audioque 12 SD2.5s, Earthquake P... Post Number: 1105 Registered: Dec-06 | i believe theres an older model called sx1200.1 that some stores still have |
Gold Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego Post Number: 1010 Registered: Dec-06 | That Orion Joey posted is a killer deal and Sonic is a trusted store, I have bought a few things there. They have a one-year store warranty on everything they sell. Get one before they are gone. |
