Thanks guys. Its a 36x14x16 box and havent quite tuned the box yet, im ampless as of now and once the zx450.2 is sold i have a kx1200.1 on order then ill mess with it. Any suggestions on what I should set the frequency to? The subs are wired up to 1 ohm load ready for the incoming amp.
What do you mean it's not tuned? You made the port a certain length/width/height and that's how you tune it. Or am I missing something and that wasn't your question?
oh man you could have a mess of a box here if you think tuning the amp means tuning the box. totally different things here. hope you used a program to make that box and didnt just slap it together without knowing what the port tuning was
lol u should have really tuned it. that would have made it sound a lot better.
plus when it comes to puttin high power on them, how r u going to set the subsonic filter (so that ur subs dont blow/break) if you dont know the tuning?
alpine recommended .75cuft-2.0cuft. 1.77 or whatever it is is just fine for me, im not planning on entering competitions just enjoy my music at a higher and cleaner volume.

Is there a way to figure out the frequency to set it if i have already built the box?
Redesign a badass box tuned good for the best SQ and SPL output of them subs... and let me get a copy of the plans :-p my friend still waiting on me to get him plans for his R's... lol
If anyone has new box dimensions that would pound harder, i may consider it, rebuild one, and sell this, i had fun building one, so im not too bummed. This time around, i would probably make my box 18" deep and new port dimensions. Let me know
i dont know what you define bumping is, but intense vibrations from the rear view and windows is considered bumping in my book. I never said "pounding" though.
