Just thought I would point out that RD Audio has redesigned their website... Looks quite nice now. Still in the finishing stages though.

http://www.rdaudio.net

They also added their Sonance series woofers on there.

They look quite appealing, anyone got some t/s for them and mounting depth also?

Thanks,
Tyler

Sure could. I doubt Steve is in today, but I will make sure to call him tomorrow and find out for you. I will send an email today though to see if I can get him that way.

What kind of info are you looking for on them? I saw them for the first time saturday. They look VERY nice. They are to get VERY LOW, and are available in SVC 4 and DVC 4 ohm.

How does the Alpha and Heavy weight compare to the audioque hd3? Price on alpha and heavy weight?

It depends how they are built. Both of those drivers can be custom built more towards SPL or more towards SQ. An Alpha built for SPL would be very comparable to a HD3 in terms of power handling and output. But overall the alpha is designed to be a more musical than the HD3. But either way it is going to be real loud, and sound good. So more of a SQL/SPL sub instead of more of a SPL sub.

The Heavyweight is a beastly SPL sub. That thing will get loud, and handle a ton of power. Not quite as much as a SHW, but still a solid 24000rms for burps and should give you some crazy high SPL scores.

If you are interested in the best pricing we can offer, please either email me at Ben@low-hz.com or instant message me at Showridesnet. Thanks.

The surrounds look similiar because they both need to be wide and tall to enough to accomodate each drivers throw. They aren't exactly the same though.

And that is a very common type of dustcap. I don't know if they bought them in the same place, but I am sure a lot of people use those dustcaps. I just know you can get them screened to say whatever you would like. So I would guess there is one person that sells most of the dustcaps here in the U.S. to sub companies.

If you are wanting a strong daily sub, the new Alpha's are going to be VERY nice and well worth it. More xmax than last version, bigger motor, and the suspension is coated with a special material that keeps the suspension from sagging. These woofers are built very well, and alot of research went into them. Can't give honest opinion in comparison to the Alpha and HD3. I can say by the middle of next month, we willhave plenty of reviews on the Alphas to make choosing ALOT easier.

The Heavyweights can be built for SQL or SPL, same as the Super Heavies. Just depends on what YOU want. I can pretty much gurantee you will be very happy with either sub in a box recommended for it.
