so i have a 4ohm eclipse ti wired at 2 ohms right now. my question is what would the difference be if i put at 4 ohms on my amp? sound quality? loudness? less draw?

honestly i have no clue if i can do this with my sub, just wondering

yuor sub must be a dual 4 ohm sub since its wired to 2 ohms...which means yuo can not get a 4 ohm load for your amp because a dual 4 ohm sub can not be wired to 4 ohms

but if you could, it would send the sub less power. no change in sound quality but most likey change in loudness

yup dual 4 ohm coils.
2 or 8 ohm load.
8 ohms will drastically cut the volume, giving more impedance (resistance) thus less power.

Yanks.. there is a change in quality :-) but its more then likly never going to be noticed by ear, only machine. Higher resistance lower THD :-)
