Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 27 Registered: Feb-05 | That says 450 @ 4 ohms. Mine are both dual 4 ohm, wouldn't that wire down to 2 ohm? What is the specs at 2 ohm? |
Silver Member Username: J_c_wheeler8Columbus, IN United States Post Number: 276 Registered: May-06 | this amp was pushing 2 subs @ 4 ohm each. If you have 2 subs at 4 ohms each, than this is what you need. |
Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 28 Registered: Feb-05 | Could I wire my subs up to be 4 ohm if they are dual 4 ohm? |
Silver Member Username: J_c_wheeler8Columbus, IN United States Post Number: 277 Registered: May-06 | yes, you can either wire them to 1 ohm or 4 ohms, both work, i did 4 ohms. |
Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 29 Registered: Feb-05 | How do you wire them to be 4 ohms? |

Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 4459 Registered: Dec-05 | c'mon guys, give a nice suggestion: Hifonics bxi 1206D Diamond audio d3 800.1 massive audio p1000.1 You need 800w rms at 1 ohm cuz is cheaper |
Silver Member Username: J_c_wheeler8Columbus, IN United States Post Number: 289 Registered: May-06 | Kicker > the three brands juliob mentioned. |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 4471 Registered: Dec-05 | that doesn't means they aren't good. The problem is output. If he uses a KX 1200.1 he will get aroud 1400w rms and if he doesn't knows how to set the gain properly, he will blow those subs quickly. That's why i didn't put KX 1200.1 but is clearly one of the best choices |
Silver Member Username: J_c_wheeler8Columbus, IN United States Post Number: 293 Registered: May-06 | kicker zx750.1. Kicker is underrated, so you will get more than enough as well as great quality. |
Gold Member Username: CtmikeCt. Post Number: 4069 Registered: Feb-06 | again, 2 dual 4ohm vc subs wire to 1ohm load, not 2. |
Silver Member Username: J_c_wheeler8Columbus, IN United States Post Number: 295 Registered: May-06 | whatever, I cant keep these 2 threads straight anymore, im going to bed. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 1767 Registered: Jul-06 | massive audio p1000.1 ^^^ I second that |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 4476 Registered: Dec-05 | Orange 93, try saving like 50$ more or so and PM kevin holden. He can hook you up with a massive audio p1000.1, a great choice. I think it does rated power at 13.5V, so anyway you're getting 1k. Another thing... since you're going to run around 1000w rms, do you have a good charging system?? you might need a HO alt and big 3, but first tell us the size of your alternator to help a lil bit more |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 1482 Registered: Sep-06 | A little over rated so should match up perfect. http://www.millionbuy.com/powasa10001d.html |
Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 32 Registered: Feb-05 | I've never heard of powebass. Is it pretty good quality or would it be worth it to get the massive that juliob is talking about? |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan13Fi SSD USA Post Number: 4822 Registered: Jul-06 | yo john wheeler...i understand that you want to sell yuor stuff but come on...give the guy a good suggestion. your amp is good, just not the best choice for this guy. this is the second thread ive seen you do this |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 1786 Registered: Jul-06 | With 1000 watts the stock electrical system will probably be ok. And yeah contact Kevin at low-hz about the Massive..... |
Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 34 Registered: Feb-05 | Where can I get a hold of Kevin and how much is the amp he has? |

Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 1503 Registered: Sep-06 | I was told by powerbass that the ASA 1000D puts out around 800-850 watts and the ASA 1500D puts out around 1250-1300 watts. Theres a guy near my borther house that has two L5 10" on a ASA1000D and its bangin. |
Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 36 Registered: Feb-05 | So would I be happy with that powerbass amp? I like the price, but I've never heard anything about them. |
Bronze Member Username: Orange93BF , Idaho Post Number: 41 Registered: Feb-05 | Hey I think I'm gonna sell those and buy a used Adire Brahma MK 1. What would be a good amp to run with this? Would the Massive still be a good choice? |
