My friend has a set of polk DBs in the front powered by hifonics zeus amp. Recently his left mid started to shut off while the tweeter would play. Now the mid is just off most of the time, but tweeter still plays. He tried switching the RCAs between the front channels and same mid didn't play. I told him to look at his gains...they were waaay up. I told him to turn this out. Was that the problem? I mean when the speaker does play, it plays fine.
