Haha you a*shole... I really want a new alternator though and i was gonna use the cash from the sub to buy one... i was also thinkin about getting a 3515... could it handle 2400 rms daily?
that power on a 3500 is a little high but it will be fine just be reasonable with it. id get the amp because you could probly sell it easyer then that sub
So are the Niche amps pretty good? I was actually lookin at em a few weeks ago but i never heard anyone talk about them. They are priced good but do they do what theyre rated for? What about their subs and other products? What do they compare to?
And dave, aren't you proud to see me stepping up bro? It's gonna be awhile before i can get install sh!t done though... i still don't know what sub(s) i'm gonna be running with this niche and i gotta get some 0 gauge wire to replace my sh!tty 4... Will that batcap keep me safe if i upgrade my big three when i'm running that 2400 RMS? i wanna get a new alt, but money is hardpressed...
You won't be able to run 2400watts RMS off of a stock alt and that Batcap.Well, you can but the juice in that batcap will drain very fast and then you'll have to rely on your alt and batt which will not support 2400 watts RMS.If you can, sell that 10'' Solo X and buy yourself an alternator.
^That's all relative to how much power you're running. You might be able to get away with running 1500 watts RMS but that's a little on the dangerous side. The MOST I'd run on a stock alternator is 1,000 watts RMS.Even when I had run that I was always watching my voltage to make sure it wasn't spiking too badly or dropping low.
