Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 422 Registered: Mar-06 | I should be fine running 4 gauge wire to my zx1500 pushing 2 12" ssd's right? I have full 0/1 from my batt to my distro and then 4 gauge to my zx350.4 and im gonna put 4 gauge to a zx1500. I should be fine with this right? If not, should i run 0/1 from the distro to the 1500? Also, can i run 4 gauge grounds from those two amps to another ground distro? or should i use 0/1? or does it really not matter with that amount of power? Stock alt, batt, etc. |

Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 423 Registered: Mar-06 | thanks for the quick response...also bc im kinda OCD and my trunk is exposed and i like symmetry, would it badly affect the performance of the 350.4 if i ran 0 gauge from the distro blocks for power and ground from that?? ahah yea im weird.... |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2421 Registered: Sep-04 | Use 4 gauge for the 350.4. but use 0 gauge for the zx1500. You want even power in, and even flow out. |
Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 425 Registered: Mar-06 | but CAN i use 0 gauge on the 350 and not hurt the amp or the sound. I know its pointless, but CAN i? |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2422 Registered: Sep-04 | You can if you want. I would cut off some strands and have enough to fit inside of the input. And then solder it so that strands aren't loose |

Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 429 Registered: Mar-06 | maybe this will bump, berny, what size speaker wire should i run to the ssd's, i think i have like a 100 ft spool of 14 gauge in my room, can i use 18 or would that be pushin it? |
Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 430 Registered: Mar-06 | nvr mind its 16 gauge, is that good or should i go 14 or 12? |
Silver Member Username: Jesse59672OK Post Number: 178 Registered: Feb-07 | your giving them 1200ish a piece? im to lazy to go read.. if your going around for 1000+ id go with at least 14ga |
Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2423 Registered: Sep-04 | I would do 10 or 12, but thats just me. For my HD3's I'm going to use 8 later on. |
Silver Member Username: Skibum12189Cleveland Post Number: 432 Registered: Mar-06 | no ill be givin the ssd's ~900 a piece, figure the zx1500 is pushin about 17-18 hundo on the birth chart, so about 850-900, so maybe ill use 12 or 10??? |
