Ask your friend if the subs are dual 4 or dual 2 voice coils. If he doesn't know, take the sub out and look in the back of the sub to find out. Then we can tell you what amp to get. But, you will need a amp that does 800rms. |

If you only want one, make sure its dual 2, wire it in series to get 4 ohm load, that amp will do near 1000 watts. so pretty much your good to go. the jl w6v2 can only handle 400rms so yeah. |
