i was jsut wondering who you guys think the best rapper is to ever touch the microphone, or if you don't think anyone is the best, who is your favorite, i'd have to go wiht my boy tupac
Pac, Jeez, Weezy, Project Pat, Triple Six, Jay-Z, Eminem, BG... Can't just throw any name out there with greatest of all time, but some good rappers right now include All Star, Yo Gotti, Young Buck, and a lot more I can't think of. They aren't greatest of all time, but they're straight.
Jeezy hands down is the fkin boss, tight ghetto punch lines, sweet beats, hard low bass...best smokin and ridin music.....also for lyrics, em and pac....biggy had sweet flow...luda is tight...so is three 6 but lyrics arent as hott as the others imo
the best would have to be tupac. other good ones are bone thugs, nwa, eminem, rick ross, jay-z, ludacris, biggie, young jeezy, too short, 36 mafia, also lil wayne is a b*tch.
In no particular order: Bone Thugs N Harmony Three 6 Mafia Busta Rhymes Lil Wayne Outkast Jeezy Trae Biggie
Oh and Reece, just so you know there is an absolutley SICK song by Allstar feat. Yo Gotti and Young Buck called Tear This Bi*tch up. My favortie song out by far right now.
rakim, talib kweli, mos def, krs-1, and biggie, redman, keith murray, papoose, saigon, raekwon, ghostface, and the gza. for females, jean grae tops them all.
who ghost rights for lil wayne? if you were smart you would know wayne is a ghost writer. been rappin since 11yrs old give him props sttop hatin and that kiss sh1t is old i bet hell still F*ck you up
damn, calm down, you'd think i was talking about you. if you were smart you'd know lil wayne uses ghost writers. when he first came out others from cash money wrote for him. the carter album was about 75% written for him. and the carter 2 was also helped out on. and the kissing thing, i never heard it was no mafia type thing. heard an interview with him and he said it's cause baby was his father figure since he was young and that's were it came from.
i uno but i have seen him freestyle with a couple guys on an interview type thing and it wus tight...i dont know much about him tho...probaly still always be one my my favs
the list of the greatest rappers alive/ever: (imo) lil wayne young jeezy trae the notorious big tupac nas jay z jody breeze immortal technique camron cassidy aztek z-ro dr dre eminem esg juelz santana jim jones devin da dude jr writer hell rell bun b bone thugs hawk c-murda chamillionaire dead prez fabolous the game guerilla maab jadakiss lil scrappy lil keke ludacris mase nelly (old school) NWA outkast p. diddy paul wall pimp c prodigy red cafe slim thug snoop dogg TI talib kweli young bloods young star
my personal top 5: (no order and does not include The Notorious BIG or Tupac because they are a given to be the obviouis greats) lil wayne jim jones nas boys in da hood jody breeze
gillie da kid rote all of lil waynes commercial songs like fire man but lil wayne roe all his new sht like father like son most of the carter 2 and now he is jumpin on all the remixes make it rain it me b!tches and alot other to much to name and he got the dedication vol 1 and 2 plus da drought 1 2 and 3 all ritten by him he i showin he can rap
yanks, mase? you're kidding right? and p.diddy? and when you say nelly old school, by that you mean his first cd's, or the stuff before he signed (if so then i agree). and please tell me you aren't white listening to dead prez, you ever read/hear interviews by them?
pac jim jones lil wayne Jay-Z (Don't like him, but is one of the best) T.I. Snoop Dogg Z-ro Trae
-lil wayne stole the entire song "Go DJ" from Yella and gave him no props at all. Other than that I don't think anyone "ghosts writes" for wayne. -Jeezy isn't that lyrical of a rapper, he's good, but he's always got good beats from his producers, the lyrics alone aren't wat makes most of his songs. He does hav sum catchy punch lines tho
Jadakiss JR Writer Lil Flip (back in the day lol, havn't heard anything of his ina while.)
mase had some nice old stuff pdiddy, not himself so much but mainly the people that hes signed and whatnot dead prez, lol yes i am white listening to them...i have read about them but their lyrics and beats are nice even tho most of them are just ripping whites a new assh0le...its alrite tho lol
but the majority were horrible the one i like is clap back and ny ny but that is it
u list a song by tupac that is horrible not included his new sht which i think arent good just the beats and the people they put on them pacs life had a couple good songs tho hands down all eyes on me 1 and 2 disc i can listen to the hole album
who's talking bout pac? i like him, not the best imo, but nice.
and jones, lyrically gillie is nicer. cause he isn't as famous as lil wayne doesn't make him worse then him. look at peedi, better than wayne imo. lots better than wayne. and everyone has there own opinions, so why get so mad just cause someone else doesn't like him? i personally don't like him much anymore cause what he raps about is not all 100% real.
It doesn't matter to me who is rapping on the songs because they are all basically talentless, but I like to listen to the ones that have really great low-end once in awhile like Jeezy, Lil Jon, and Three-6 Mafia.
"Not for Carter 2," Gillie laughed. "I wasn't around for Tha Carter 2. Give all the credit to Lil Wayne for that. But it was a whole lot of things going down for Carter 1. Holla at your boy, Wayne."
Lil Wayne's publicist said Gillie's implication is false.
"We deny any of Gillie's claims," his publicist, Richelle Cross, said. "Wayne writes all of his own rhymes. He never used a ghostwriter, and in fact, Wayne ghostwrites for a lot of people out there."
you can read bout it just about everywhere, it was just about on every site once it came out. he used to even work for them, but why you think you never saw him? what you think he was paid for?
there is no legal work saying he wrote for wayne wayne doesn't even write songs he puts them all in his head like jay-z even if gillie wrote part of the carter the carter 2 is better so f*ck gillie sorry as$ nigga who wants to be famous and cant do nothin but complain
again, why so in love with wayne? i can see you sitting at your computer in your room covered in lil wayne posters, pics from magazines on the wall, and lil wayne as your screensaver right? you take offense so damn much about someone you don't know it's funny. you're probably in high school and sit around doodling his initials in hearts on your bookcovers.
oh, and what do you think a paid publicist would say?
Alright I'm bored so I went through my music and picked out ALL my all time favorites and some new artists that i think are awesome. Oh, and by the way, i didn't know being white meant I can't enjoy and appreciate good music and talent. I'm not bein an as*s.. just saying that it shouldn't have any affect on my music taste.

naw im in college i dont love wayne you have no proof that he wrote the stuff and your just goin by wjat gillie says if gillie is so good why hasn't he mad a landmark in rap. and you are theimmature one why do u have to talk bad about me. i see no point of that. grow up man im done with this. you discuss me
sorry i discuss you. just a thought, but if i have no proof gillie did write for him, where's your proof he didn't? and what landmark has wayne made? j/w
im taking offense becaus im standing up for something i believe. now if he gives me facts about it i would love to read them . but all im hearing is heresay and in court that doesn't work
"im taking offense becaus im standing up for something i believe. now if he gives me facts about it i would love to read them . but all im hearing is heresay and in court that doesn't work"
standing up for something you believe? what the hel_l is that exactly? damn grow up. if you like him you like him. who cares if he used ghostwriters. i bet if you actually knew all that stuff he raps about isn't exactly true you'd kill yourself.
naw not really i do know its not true. half of the worlds best books aren't true
ill just say we agree to disagree i dont hold grudges, i wont bad mouth you on the forum or anything . lets just drop this.. were goin in circles and beating a dead dog
not to beat a dead dog, but how do you know it's not true? i really don't care but when cash money admits they once employed him what's that say? he didn't come out with a record under them so exactly what was he paid for then?
even if gillie the kid did ghost ride for him who fluckin cares he still has 100's of sick songs he rote end of story u to stop b!tchn n the ones that keep arguin just stop i agree it is ruinin the thread so stop eggin him on both shut up
Fire man was ghost ritten Leather so soft wasnt most of his sht was not ghost ritten leave it like that lil wayne is a very good rapper
"mase had some nice old stuff" uh sorry but NO!theres no way mase can be on a best rapper thread.i agree with whoever said "old lil flip was good." bone thugs immortal tech. tupac BIG houston rap (the chopped and srewed days) oh and def. Vanilla ice...ice ice baby haha.dont act like you didnt like it back in the day.
I am not that fond of lil wayne, but I still listen to his songs cause they have good beats and who he raps with is usually good so it makes up for it. His voice just kinda annoys me. Id go with Rick Ross, E-40, Lil Scrappy, Young Dro, TI, Young Buck, Three 6, Unk, Tony Yayo, Paul Wall, Rich Boy, Too Short, Mike Jones, Slim Thug
i will have to agree with whoever was listing the non-mainstream people whne they mention Yukmouth, dude is hard as f *ck, but just no name where im from, i'm sure in the west he has some sort of a name, but come on, he was 1/2 of the creater on ''i got 5 on it'' which i think maybe 40 other rappers have taken and used, and possibly one of the best rap songs ever imo
