Friday, May 14, 2004 - 15:09 GMT in simple terms, with a regulated power supply, any input voltage from 9 to 16 volts (about) comes out 12 volts on the other side. it's "stablized" so more voltage doesn't equal more power, but this also helps avoid clipping if voltage drops.
