Bronze Member Username: FollowyoursoleLos Angeles, CA Post Number: 76 Registered: Sep-04 | Im thinking about getting 2 15 inch mach 5's. they are 500 watt rms and dual 4 ohm. http://mach5audio.com/index-2.html I want to put them in a sealed box. and will be running them at 1 ohm from a hifonics bx1500d. Giving them there full power. Will it be louder and hit lower and harder then my current 12 inch fi ssd fully loaded in a 1.8-2.0 cu ft ported tuned at 32 hz? My car is a 4 door sedan and cabin gain suck. I cant get anything loud enough for me in this car. will these 2 15's do it? I haven't heard much about mach 5. but the review that are out are decent. let me know. Thanks in advance. |

Gold Member Username: Arande2Extreme SQ FTW Post Number: 2107 Registered: Dec-06 | Go with 15s, they should move more air and hit harder..I would suspect. |

Silver Member Username: DenimWww.TeamSSAudio.com, MD Post Number: 120 Registered: Nov-06 | Hey Dustin, sorry, I cannot swap coils on the MJ-18's. That sub though comes in a 4 ohm mono and does not need tons of power to get going and have great sound in the right enclosure. What amp does your friend have? |
Gold Member Username: CenusHicksville, Ohio Post Number: 2992 Registered: Jan-05 | he has a JL e1400d i think is what its called, i know its discontinued and does 500wrms@2ohm. |
Silver Member Username: DenimWww.TeamSSAudio.com, MD Post Number: 121 Registered: Nov-06 | why not the MAW-15? That would match perfect. |
Gold Member Username: CenusHicksville, Ohio Post Number: 2995 Registered: Jan-05 | ya but right now he has 2 15inch kicker comps and he thinks 1 15 won't get as loud as 2 kickers, thats why he wants an 18. |
Silver Member Username: DenimWww.TeamSSAudio.com, MD Post Number: 122 Registered: Nov-06 | if he wants i could do a combo deal on an amp and a mj-18. support@soundsolutionsaudio.com |
