Alright guys I am a young cat and don't know much about insurance......but anyways my car system was stolen about a week ago and my doors was locked so he broke my glass. The police man came in the morning and filed a report and took pics of everything and I told him what was stolen even the model Num. but ok the question is does the insurance company send me a check for the retail value of the whole system and the cost to get the glass replace? and about how long does it take for them to do all of this ?
the replaced my glass if u have glass coverage ... as far as the system if u have a deductabile ... once u exceed that with proper recipets ull get money back
Alright so I have car insurance and home insurance and if I don't have reciets for any of the items my home policy want pay for anything or I don't have to have the reciets? What do I need for them to pay me for the items that was stolen I even have a police report and sent it to my mom's insurance company
i don't knbow, it is up to every insurance company because my dude got his stuff stolen and he had like 2 mtx subs and a rockford "900 watt amp" (the 301s one) and he dind't have insurance on anythin gbut his insurance bought him a brand new rockford P6002, which is about double the power of that 301s, so i'd just defiantly contact your insurance company, i know when i have my stuff hooked up i always have it up when i go to pay my insurance and they always ask me waht that noise is, so i mean at least they knwo i have it
call your insurance company and ask. it varies by company as well as your coverage. if you have full coverage, and a rider to cover the audio system (required by most companies) along with proof of ownership for the gear, they'll cover the glass, the equipment, and installation costs.
First off, NO aftermarket car audio things are insured just because you have auto insurance... atleast in any case i have seen. You have to get extra insurance for this, so if you didnt have it... have fun. And for proof of equiptment you will need either reciepts or pictures of it all, also you would need to show that it was all bolted down securly to your ride. <-----Pretty much what i heard from any insurance company i talked to... and few people on here...
Alright guys thanks my mom told me that since the car doors was locked and the car was in the yard and everything was insured so I am expecting some money for a new system this time I am going to get a car alarm system I seen one on ebay for like 100 and it had everything so good looking my car audio fanatactics
STEINKEA your are absolutley right my mom just told me it is covered under her homeowners insurance but another question do they pay me the retail value for the items or what I told the police office what they was worth? and about how long do it take for them to respond back the police had already sent the report to the insurance company?
