Post Number: 3180 Registered: Apr-06 | your probably over powering your subwoofer...what amp what sub, about the HU i think its fine. mine used to do that when i put 3 times the rated rms to my sub..... so lower your gain and see if it still pops at high volumes |

New member Username: Xx_elixir_xxPost Number: 8 Registered: Feb-07 | My amp is a 1000w amp and I have 2 JL 12w3v2 D4's which run at 300rms 600peak. They are in series so they each are at 8 ohms. The amp's gain is only at 3/8. |

New member Username: Xx_elixir_xxPost Number: 9 Registered: Feb-07 | haha... funny story... its the stock one from the car... Hyundai does not make it easy to replace the HU. It is impossible to remove. Is this the reason why its is popping? by hu u mean head unit/receiver right? |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Southeast PA Post Number: 1114 Registered: Jul-06 | Yeah. But if it's a facoty HU, it's not the problem I was thinking of. |
