The grommet helps keep water out and also protects the wire from getting sliced by the chassis. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=263-635 |

YEa he found a spot where we could drill, but he really didnt want to. But i guess it is really no other choice since we cant seem to find a spot |

Gold Member Username: BernymacCambodian Post Number: 2270 Registered: Sep-04 | I ran two runs of 0awg under my car. Unfortunately I found out about the grommet about a month later. The grommet will seal it up well, and you can still use the grommet for the firewall. just do that, fashoness. |

Gold Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 2568 Registered: Jan-06 | Listen up! Follow the wire loom that goes from the engine compartment to inside. Look along the firewall you will see a large bunch of wires going into the wirewall. Well this goes into a large gromett/rubber boot. Take a knife and cut a dime sized hole in it. Now lightly spray the end of the 0ga with water along with the rubber with a spray bottle. Stick the 0ga in through that hole keep pushing until it stops then start searching for it under the dash. Now that you got that far removed the carpet trim from the right side (passenger) trim that runs along the side of the floorboard you will run the wire under it to hide. Keep wetting the cable as you pull it through, the rubber boot will protect it from the elements as long as the hole isn't too big. Keep us posted...Polo. |

Gold Member Username: Safe_crackerChicago, IL US Post Number: 2574 Registered: Jan-06 | <--- Never had to drill any holes, manufacture makes plenty for you! People who drill are too lazy to look for the ones already there... Polo.. |

Post Number: 11041 Registered: Jul-05 | some cars u get lucky when manufacturers leave a spare hole with a rubber seal u can just pop off & use but thats a very rare find i personally dont like cutting into the big wire harness rubber thingy i rather drill a hole which takes like 5mins no problemo ..... |
Bronze Member Username: MercsableKalamazoo, MI USA Post Number: 73 Registered: Apr-06 | I ran mine down under the car and drilled a hole in the floor board on the drivers side. It was right next to the trim so I ran it under the carpet for 2 inches then it went right under the trim all the way back to the trunk. |
Silver Member Username: RenegadesrunLafayette, IN US Post Number: 626 Registered: Oct-04 | I ran all 10 runs through a huge hole i hacked under the rear seat. They, apparently, dont look under the car much for trade in. |
