Type-r or octane zr??

Alpine type-r 12" or Phoenix Gold Octane ZR 12"...it will go in a prted box tuned to 35 hertz, which will have better SQ and which will have better SPL...both are about $100 so which is a better sub

alright, hey logan i built taht box u designed for me, put that P2 12" in it and itsounds so much better that sealed, when the type-r goes in it will be good to go

if u want more than sq the pg will get as loud as the type r sounding much nicer...

however the type r will get alil but not much louder than pg but will not sounds as good as the pg...

yeah, the octanes probably sound pretty nice, 6 of ANYTHING at a low volume should have decent sound quality...

but all in all, i have experience with the type Rs and they are beasts for the price and sound great. i have never heard the octanes personally but they look like MA audio subs.

this guy is doing a single sub setup.

alpine type R ftw...

ask mark and let u know wat he think matter of fact.. do a search ont he forum he posted wat he thinnks on the pg and type r;s..... and yes if ut hink they look like ma subs u have bad eyes go get some glasses...

actually... he's right :-)

the R will have slightly more output capability, but the ZR's are superior in every other category.

Just as a refresher... I've built 100+ type R boxes, and tested the PG ZR in 4 different designs.
